Lakes Motorsports has created the ultimate cylinder
sleeve for the Yamaha Banshee. We have incorporated many
improvements over existing sleeves.
The major improvement of our sleeve is a bridged exhaust port.
This concept has been used in the motorcycle and snowmobile industry
for years. By putting a small bridge down the middle of the exhaust
port you can widen the port to a larger percentage of the bore size and
still maintain total reliability. So the larger the exhaust port,
the more power that can be made.
Other changes we've made:
- Larger intakes
- Relocation of the rear boost port
- Reduced O.D. of the sleeve for more transfer volume
- The collar of the sleeve was reduced to prevent interference
with the cylinder head studs
- Accepts 349cc to 404cc pistons
The design of the Viper sleeve yields reliable power. With only
moderate porting, even larger horsepower numbers can be easily achieved.
These sleeves are sold
individually.
